The Role of Public Authorities in Local Development Management

Abstract: The present paper presents issues regarding the role of local authorities in the development of a community. In the first section, the concepts of economic development, economic growth and local development are analysed; the determining relationship between economic development and local development is presented, specifying the role of local public administration in creating well-being in the community.
